Annie, interrupted
Last month, I was taking pictures of Annie quietly grooming herself in the Playroom. Jamie barged in (clearly on a mission), interrupting the otherwise serene moment. Today, I was going through the photos from that day and I couldn’t help but be impressed and inspired by Annie’s flexibility. I’m in even more awe at how easy she makes this look, especially after trying to recreate the same “yoga” pose myself.
The ever beautiful Annie.
Thank you to North Portland Yoga Community!
Today was sponsored by Sweethome Teacup. She shared this message: “This day is special because I am able to give to the chimps through collecting donations from the North Portland Yoga Community. I hope the chimps are at ease, curious, and content today.” Jody is our natural yoga expert:
Thanks for always thinking of the chimps, Sweethome!
Today in yoga class…
Between Jody and Annie’s “reclined spinal twists” poses and Negra and Jody’s “happy baby poses“, we must have some very zen chimps around here. I caught both Negra and Jody simultaneously “practicing” this morning in the greenhouse.
I like to think of this next pose as a “reclined” (or laying down) lotus pose:
Morning Yoga, Troll Games
You never know what you are going to find when you greet the chimps in the morning. For example, you might find Jamie upside down, acting as if its totally normal to begin the day upside down.
Today was a beautiful day for early February so we served lunch outside. Afterwards, Foxie climbed to the top of the enclosure to where she could throw her trolls down to us.
