Chimpanzee Sanctuary Northwest is NOT open to the public. We are not zoned to have a high-level of traffic on the property, and we do not wish to be "open" on a regular basis.
However, we do want to provide a chance for current donors to come see the sanctuary they support in person, while respecting the limits of our small staff and commitment to not disrupting the lives of the chimpanzees in a negative way.
On a few select weekend dates in the summer months (July, August, and September), we will be offering the chance to join a small guided visit to donors who preregister online. We have suspended our visitor program due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
We email a private online registration form to existing loyal donors in the spring who have given a certain amount in the previous year (at least $100). These visits fill up quickly and are only available by pre-registering. There is an additional requested donation for the registration.
PLEASE NOTE: We have suspended all visits due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Sign up for our e-newsletter to receive updates.
If you have any questions about the visitor program or becoming a donor, please contact our outreach coordinator Kelsi at [email protected]
We know not everyone will be able to visit the sanctuary, so we share the daily lives of Negra, Annie, Burrito, Foxie, Jamie, Jody, Missy, Honey B, Willy B, and Mave through stories, photos, and videos on the blog.
