Trifecta Jubilee 2025, Part 2
Yesterday was The Trifecta Jubilee 2025! The Trifecta Jubilee celebrates Negra’s birthday, Terry’s birthday, and the anniversary of the Cle Elum 7’s arrival annually on June 13th. If you missed yesterday’s blog and party video, check it out here.

Honey B’s Birthday, Pt 2
Honey B’s birthday was yesterday, and we all got a front row seat for all her shenanigans on her big day. Today we’ll see what the rest of the chimps were up to while they celebrated Honey B’s birthday!
Honey B Turns 36!
We wanted to say thank you to Paulette Wrisley for sponsoring the day in Honey B’s honor!
Today we celebrated the one and only Honey B’s 36th birthday, and true to form, she kept us all on our toes! She started the day by discovering a lock that was supposed to hold her enrichment boards to the mesh caging. While we prefer to keep the boards securely fastened, it’s not threat that she has it—but Honey B doesn’t need to know that, so let’s just keep it between us. She was clearly very pleased with herself, and honestly, it brought a big smile to our faces.
We filled Honey B’s day with all her favorite foods and treats! In the morning she had a forage of tiny brown bags filled with popcorn, raisins, and a very light drizzle of honey! For her big birthday party, we served plates of pasta with a homemade roasted pepper and onion sauce, non-dairy decaf frappuccinos, and a small forage with cherries, snap peas, radishes, and mini peppers.
Being around Honey B is never dull—she’s clever, curious, and always finding ways to surprise us. It’s truly an honor to know her and share in her unique and spunky spirit.

Love a Chimp Day!
Today is the infamous Love a Chimp Day! In addition to Tobin’s lovely sponsor-a-day for this special Love a Chimpanzee celebration, of course the founder of the day herself, Monica Best, also sponsored today. How incredible is it that Monica has been helping us all celebrate our love of chimpanzees for 16 years! She is also the donor of all of the squishmallows that were part of today’s celebration. Thank you so much to Monica for your incredible and ongoing support and generosity!!
This years menu was: pasta, virgin pina coldas, ice treats, lettuce, and young coconuts! The chimps house was noisy from all the food grunts and squeaks! Click here to watch all the fun!

Spring Rocks!
Today we celebrated spring with the chimpanzees by having a party filled with novel items and foods they love. One of these novel items was a cardboard cutout of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, which we hoped Cy would enjoy as he is a fan of bald men (remember his love of Stanley Tucci?!). Well, there were mixed reviews. Today’s blog video is all about the ups and downs of “meeting” Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson! We will share more about the rest of the party later, as there is simply too much good stuff to cover all in one day!
Cy’s 35th Birthday Celebration!
Today we celebrated Cy’s 35th birthday!
Ellen, the ever so thoughtful and creative caregiver, created a one-of-a-kind birthday magazine just for Cy! As many of you know, Cy has an undeniable love for People magazines, so naturally, Ellen filled his personal edition with different articles of his favorite people, fashion, piping hot tea from around the sanctuary, and so much more. We’ll need an entire blog just to showcase this amazing creation—it was nothing short of extraordinary! Cy also had a bookcase full of People, In Touch, Stars, and other magazines that capture his love for all things pop culture. Of course we had a forage filled with Cy’s favorite foods, including a chow cookie he could not stop food squeaking for on the Bray!
From the very first moment I met Cy, he completely stole my heart. He is the kind of person who captivates everyone he meets. Cy is kind by nature, endlessly patient, playful, courageous, and a master at making friends with anyone he crosses paths with. He shows grace to the people around him, and he truly cherishes quality time with his loved ones. Cy is the kind of guy who makes everyone’s day brighter! It’s an honor and a privilege to call him a friend.
