Tickets are selling fast for Out of the Box, the 2010 Auction Gala Event!

Below are a just a few of the incredible art items that will be up for auction, these pieces are of the Cle Elum Seven chimpanzees. There are a lot of other art items, as well as wine and just for fun certificates and getaways. Check out the Auction Items page for a list (and check back often for updates!)

I was just about to update the banana and we’re $35 shy of $1000 in new donations towards our ultimate goal of raising $45,000 by June 13th. With the matching donation, that means almost $2,000 has been raised in three days! But, doesn’t it seem a shame to be $35 shy? Does anyone want to give that $35 before the end of the day? I’ll hold off updating the banana until 5:00 tonight. You can donate online or email and let me know you’re sending a check.

Thanks all for your generosity already! I heard from one supporter yesterday with a plan to raise between $750 and $1500. Keep those ideas coming! I can already picture Negra looking out those chimpanzee-proof windows.

Sippin’ for the Seven is going to be a not-to-miss evening in Roslyn. Get your tickets if you haven’t already. I’ll be updating the event page soon to include local lodging offering discounts to attendees. First, though, check out the food!

Sausages in three varieties: Italian, Mexican Chipotle and Smoked Apple Sage (the good folks at Field Roast Grain Meat donated a case of sausages for the event)

We’re going to have some pretty spectacular raffle prizes, and we expect to have the photo slide show DVDs available for sale for the first time that night! Fundraiser for your closest relatives

Seattle supporters Steph and Kurt Marx (who donated the telephoto lens to us) are putting on a fundraising event for Chimpanzee Sanctuary Northwest on Sunday, November 9th from 2-6pm, and you’re invited!

The afternoon will include wine, appetizers, and fun with a raffle and an auction beginning at 3:30pm. There will be lots of really great auction prizes, including an 11×17 framed photo of Negra (it’s one of your favorite photos of Negra, trust me) donated by Kathy Cochran.
