Seattle supporters Steph and Kurt Marx (who donated the telephoto lens to us) are putting on a fundraising event for Chimpanzee Sanctuary Northwest on Sunday, November 9th from 2-6pm, and you’re invited!
The afternoon will include wine, appetizers, and fun with a raffle and an auction beginning at 3:30pm. There will be lots of really great auction prizes, including an 11×17 framed photo of Negra (it’s one of your favorite photos of Negra, trust me) donated by Kathy Cochran.

BTW…Thank you Diana I received your package today…I loved it! I have some nice big candles that are the best candles ever made…let me know asap so I can get them in the mail before surgery this week!!
We saw the article in the Kittitas paper and have followed the story since then. We are part time residents of the upper valley and would like to support this cause. We would like to donate a air duct and dryer vent cleaning for the auction. Our business is specialized and accredited in this industry. Look forward to speaking to you soon.

Hi Shelly K, these are the best candles, you do not even have to burn tehm to have the scent throw. I made about 80 today, I ran out of wax and containers. Holiday time all of my regulars want candles every year, so I have to be ready. After surgery next week I do not know how long I will be laid up, but I really need to make more, need to order supplies. I figure I can donate a couple of my big candles, they sell for $35.00 anmd everyone loves candles, it is just getting them there, also I have to mail them before surgery which is Weds, am so have to know if they want me to doante them or not ASAP!

I will get the candles there on time, I worked on candles all day today and will get them in the mail by tomorrow….no problem. I would like to win the air duct and dryer vent cleaning, I was just telling my husband we need to get that done…too bad Mark and Wendy’s company is not closer to home, or actually to bad Tamela and I do not live closer so we could attend this event, now that woould be a blast.

I’ve been meaning to post this since Monday, but I just want to say that we had so much fun at Stephanie & Kurt’s fundraiser in Seattle on Sunday!! The food and wine were wonderful, and it was so nice to see everyone & meet new friends that are CSNW supporters! It was great to see Keith & Cyndi, and Zibby, and Cindy, Shelly K., & Jeani, and Drew Nichol. My friend, Michelle, came with me as a first-time CSNW supporter, and she had a great time too!! The auctioneer, Rolf, was so funny ~ he had us laughing the whole time & he did an excellent job!! I’m sure it was a great success!! Thank you to Stephanie & Kurt for inviting us!! And thank you to adorable Hannah for doing the raffle tickets! Shelly C., I didn’t win any of your candles but they are beautiful!! 🙂
Yes Shelly C. Those candles were wonderful looking and smelled great. Unfortunately I didn’t win one either. If you are going to sell them I would be interested.
The fund raiser was a blast!!! I was so glad to hear that so much money was raised. Maybe it will catch on as a wine party idea and there can be more. It was great seeing everyone I had met before and meeting new friends. Shelly K it was so nice to finally meet you in person.

I havew made the offer to CSNW trhat I would sell my candles and give CSNW 15 % of my sales thru say december 15th, I have tio wait fior Diana, she said maybe we should just post it on the forum, I really wanted to create a CSNW candle like the one I made foe Gorilla Haven, I have a new scent coming and it is called “Monkey Farts”, it is a number 1 seller, it has bananasm strawberries, kiwi, hint of bubblegum, taste of vanilla, sounds oretty yummy to me, cannot wait til the sent gets here. I was thinking Jeani maybe at your enrichment parti I can send you a list of scents and you can take order there, then I can mail them all to you or out individual, as usual I have always given away my propducts that is why I do not make money on it, my orices were $10 for my candle, but I am selling them for $15.00 plus shipping, soy candles burn at a much lower heat rate so my 8 ox=z tins, that are more like 9 to 10 oz, because I fill them to the brim, and most 8 ox candles go for $15,00, and if I want to keeo my business going I have to make enough to buy akk the supplies I need, just this week alone my supplies have cost almost $1,000, so I am sorry I cannot give them away girls but at $15,00 you should get 35-40 hour burn time and also you do not have to burn them to have the scent throw just remove the kid and the scent will throw…I promise you will love soy candles. SOmeone let me know and I am in , I should me ealking about in a few moe days,I hope!!!!”’
