Annie has all the personality qualities that make up a truly lovely individual. She is adventurous, kind, loving and quiet, with just a touch of mischievous up-and-comer. Oh and did we mention she’s beautiful?

Which Chimp do most of the caretakers think is the sweetest, most loveable, gentlest? Or is that like asking a mother which of your children do you love the most?????

I think we might all agree that Annie is near the top of the list for being sweet, but even she has her fiery moments. As for gentle, that’s definitely a tough one to answer. All the chimpanzees are extremely strong and they are driven by their emotions. Because of their strength and unpredictability, we never enter their enclosures with them. I think the word “gentle” might not exactly apply to any of them. This is not to say they don’t have amazingly sweet moments with each other and caregivers, but we definitely practice very careful types of contact and serving techniques from the other side of the caging.
