This morning, Jenna and I were cleaning the playroom when we were greeted with delightful chimpanzee laughter coming from the front rooms. Can you guess who? Of course, it was Burrito and his good friend Foxie! Wrestling, poking, tickling, biting, pushing, pulling…all the things required for a raucous play session. We really wanted to capture this fun time without catching the ire of the fun police. How do you think we did?

The Simple Joys of a Rainbow Headband
As “usual” Honey B declined to shift out of the Front Rooms yesterday so we could clean them all at once (which is much more efficient). She also had an accomplice in her friend Dora. As you can see, the girls made the best of their one-on-one time.
The Unification of the Stubborn Shifters
As longtime blog readers might know, Honey B can be a challenge for staff when we are trying to close off certain enclosures for cleaning. She likes to throw an obstinate wrench in our best-laid plans. Lucky is also one of those chimpanzees that doesn’t always see the need to cooperate with the shifting schedule from time to time. Today Lucky and Honey B joined their strong willed forces together and stayed behind in the front rooms rather than shifting with their group during morning cleaning . Much to our surprise, their “quiet alone time” morphed into a wrestle session of epic proportions. Shout out to staff caregiver Grace for grabbing all the video for today’s blog!
Jamie & Burrito’s Day of Friendship
They really did play for a good amount of time while Anna and I cleaned their playroom. I was very glad to get the clips I did!
As you can see from the video, the snow from yesterday was short-lived. I saw Annie walking up the stairs to the playroom loft with a big handful of snow. It’s good that they love to eat it!
