This morning, Jenna and I were cleaning the playroom when we were greeted with delightful chimpanzee laughter coming from the front rooms. Can you guess who? Of course, it was Burrito and his good friend Foxie! Wrestling, poking, tickling, biting, pushing, pulling…all the things required for a raucous play session. We really wanted to capture this fun time without catching the ire of the fun police. How do you think we did?

Ha,Ha,Ha, well Jamie certainly stepped in at the end and -have I got this right? She shattered some glass like in your camera. I could almost see the annoyance rising in that Lady during Burrito and Foxie’s play shenanigans there. Do you think Jamie wanted to join in their game and feeling a tad ignored? The fun police indeed. Thanks for sharing another madcap day at the sanctuary,

Jamie’s dislike of cameras is notorious, they think it might be left over from her days in entertainment. In any case, when she says ‘stop filming- or if they ask permission and she says no, she wants it to end right away. Apparently, Chrissy did not move fast enough for her. That’s why her name is “party police”, she will also come in to break up something between two chimps having fun.

Thanks, Linda, that explains a lot about the reasons for Jamie’s ‘disruptive’ behavour there. Sad to think of the damage people do to these beloved chimpanzees in the name of entertainment and profit. Thankfully, Jamie is in a secure and loving home with pals who understand her moods and needs.

The power of the Boss. Burrito and Foxie are cutting it up and then Boom! Burrito’s facial expression totally changes (about 2:30 into video). He instantly goes from laughter to this sheepish expression but I couldn’t see why. If you hadn’t warned us, I would have worried about what was wrong with Burrito. Fun Police! It appears Burrito sensed Jamie coming in from behind. What a crack up. I’m guessing you sensed her coming too!

What a play session between Foxie and Burrito! Full of silliness and lots of breathy laughter.
You can always count on the Boss to keep any onlookers in line, though. At least this time it was only with a mouthful of water… In all fairness to Jamie, she did warn you!
