These are a few of my favorite things…

December 2, 2013 by Jennifer

On my drive to the sanctuary this morning I heard the holiday song, “These are a few of my favorite things.” With the help of a little holiday cheer and some inspiration from Annie, Missy, Foxie, Burrito, Jody, Negra, and Jamie, I decided to make a list of my own (the videos are oldies, but goodies).

These are a few of MY favorite things…

Food squeaks – The chimpanzees (especially Burrito) are blissful during mealtime.

Brachiating – It takes my breath away to witness the chimps brachiate. I’m grateful that the sanctuary provides them with the space to roam and climb.

Pant hoots – How can I not get excited when I hear a pant hoot?!

Like the Seven, I hope you too can find some holiday cheer amidst this busy and hectic season! Thank you for loving them and helping us care for them!

I just love them all, but so cute to see Foxie with her trolls and the way they eat…separating their food and such. Love them!

Was that Jamie that went and slapped the wall and then all was quiet? Those 7 are too funny!

Food grunts=one of my favorite things. And I think it may of been Foxie who slapped the wall.

I bet you are no longer looking at this post but I had to come back and look at the short videos once more — especially the Pant Hoot one! Love it. But I have some questions about the pant hoot. Knowing they do it when “excited” is it always done just for “joyful excitement” or is the pant hoot also used for “fearful or nervous” excitement?
