Foxie’s got her hands (and feet) full!

August 30, 2008 by Sarah

(Note from Sarah: So sorry! I thought I had posted this yesterday but apparently it didn’t go through!) What’s better on a summer day than watermelon and sunshine? Watermelon, sunshine, and a troll doll (being held in her foot)!

It is so wonderful to see Foxie relaxing and starting to really enjoy her new life. Looking back over her pictures, I see such a change in her, from the way she tries to be invisable to basking in her surroundings. Thank you so much for all your hard work and believing in making a difference in all their lives. You are making a difference in my life, too! XOXO to everyone.

Beautiful photo of such a happy girl!!

To think that just weeks ago this was not even possible for her in her small cage! Now she can fill her hands and feet everyday with things she wants to carry, & walk inside or outside as she chooses! 🙂

This is from Karen…….We have just managed to get through all of the blog that was posted while we were away. Thank you SO much to everyone who sent me birthday wishes. I had the best birthday of my life! It was greatly enriched by knowing that the Cle Elum seven now have peace and happiness. Karen

Foxie Lady!!!!!! You are the best, and I wish I could tell you that in person!! Did I tell you that “Save the Chimps” sent me an app for volunteering on my vacation next year, I am so excited to go and donate my time to such a great bunch, I love to be in the kitchen and I am sure while preparing fruits and veggies you can hear the pant hooting of the excited chimps, knowing their meals are almost ready! Has anyone ever volunteered at any chimp sanctuary??? Also I am preparing my care package, it is just something I want to do and it will make it feel more personal!! I know that Jamie likes her ties and whatnot, I have an old costume like necklace, is she allowed that because I want to send it to her in the box, I also got some big bags of shelled peanuts at Safeway, that Diana said was okay right????

I guess I can put whatever in my care package and iff they cannot have it, they will find something to do with it right???

Hi Shelly C ~ just a thought, before you spend $ on items and shipping, you could always email Diana at: [email protected] with a list of what you’re planning to send in advance. As busy as the caregivers are, it may take a few days to get back with you (not sure) but that way you’d know 🙂 One little tip: if you’re sending food items, probably want to send things that don’t have sugar or salt.

The peanuts are really the only food items, the other things are some on the wish list, but I bought elsewhere, and my tin of money, I do not have a key so I do not want to break the lock, I will let them breat it, and some new sheets and stuffed animals! But I may have to exchange the peanuts I think I bought salted…oops! Good thing you said that! Thanks Shelly K

Shelly, Your collecting is so great. What’s always helpful and easy to send could be a Safeway gift card instead of food. Just a thought…Keep all your good work.
