Veterinary Clinic Tour

September 13, 2020 by Anthony

The sanctuary’s upgraded veterinary clinic has come up quite a bit lately.

We have utilized this area frequently over the past year, and it recently gave us the ability to respond to an unexpected emergency. Thanks to its impeccable usefulness and immediate relevance, the clinic was also mentioned several times during last night’s virtual auction: HOOT! 2020. As we explained to the event’s participants, your generous contributions have built this on-site clinic for the chimpanzees and will help us to add additional equipment and vital supplies in the near future. We caregivers are all comforted to have such a modern and secure facility located just across the hallway from the chimpanzee enclosures so that any necessary procedures can be done safely and effectively.

Because we are so grateful for all of the support and we love to teach people about our work, Dr. Erin and I thought it would be fitting to take you all on a virtual tour of the veterinary clinic! In the video, Dr. Erin also explains some of our protocols and we would love to answer any questions that you may have.

Thank you once again for making all of this possible!

Thanks for the tour of the clinic, very interesting. I can see our beloved chimps (and Bovine) are in good hands.

THANK YOU SO MUCH ANTHONY FOR THAT WONDERFUL TOUR OF THE CHIMPS HOSPITAL. Top of the line equipment to be sure. I always knew they were in good hands no matter what the emergency but this video shows just how complete and up to date everything is there. Loved the LOUD interruption from one of the residents next door who had to get her two cents worth in during the video.

What a great idea, thank you Dr. Erin and Anthony for the walk through of the new clinic. CSNW is very fortunate to have so many devoted donors of all kinds. Impressed by the donated human grade “fancy anesthesia” machine — only the best for the chimps! It must give all of you great peace of mind to have such a comprehensive facility. With that said, I would prefer to see only our Stuffed-Chimp-Pal on that operating table for a long time!! No one else please. ; ). Thanks again.

Thank you for the wonderful tour of the Clinic! It certainly exemplifies the the commitment to quality care for the chimps—in providing healthy, mentally enriching daily lives, and needed care and timely medical intervention when needed! Just—awesome!

Thanks for the tour of your clinic. It looks very state of the art and so totally clean and well equipped. Thank you to all who tend to the chimps and their medical needs.

I love the tour…. My nature is to like to have multiples of everything so I’m wondering if any human hospital would like to donate a second “fancy anesthesia” machine…. Again, probably my ever concerned nature… but I am SO impressed with it that I want another just on the off chance that the awesome one you have ever fails…If I had a hospital I would, of course, be donating one! But alas.. I am fresh out of amazing hospital equipment 🙁 Wonderful tour.. thank you Anthony, Dr, Erin and all the generous CSNW family.

Thank you for providing this informative video. I am heartened to see that Dr. Zamzow has access to this state-of-the-art facility, and I trust that she shares clinical privileges with her onsite colleague, Honey B’s mother the dermatologist.
