For Amanda and Ryan

December 22, 2018 by Katelyn

This special day of sanctuary was sponsored by Kailie Dombrausky and Josefine Holm “in honor of the love between Ryan Cunningham and Amanda Osborne and in celebration of their wedding. We wish you all the best of luck and love in the future! Josefine and Kailie”

Kailie and Josefine, thank you so much for including the chimpanzees in your celebration of Amanda and Ryan today!

Amanda (far right) is a former Central Washington University graduate student intern and current volunteer at the sanctuary:

All of us at the sanctuary wish Amanda and Ryan a beautiful day and lots of happiness in the years ahead!

What a wonderful gift, and always so nice to see the faces of the dedicated interns/volunteers too. Happy Days Amanda!

While I have visited Ellensburg I never walked the campus. II am assuming that’s a statue of Washoe? Is she signing “friend” it’s hard to tell — so cool.

Just what I need…More exquisite photographs that I always enjoy every single day…I especially love today’s “Valentino” pose with the red rose… : ) Best wishes to Amanda & everyone associated at the CSN…Hugs from Ohio…

I believe that statue is the likeness of Washoe signing “friend”. How I so very much wish that Washoe
and her companions could have lived at a facility like the CSNW. Indeed, I wish that
Koko the Gorilla could have lived with others of her kind on land like the Cle Elum sanctuary. It’s one thing to teach an ape sign language; they still need room to romp and forage with their own kind.
