A supporter named Simon recently sent Jamie a very thoughtful gift in the form of a customized paperback about boots.

Simon, I love that you made it small enough for her to carry around easily!
I had the same idea, but am “boot challenged”…fat cankles and calves, plus leg injuries.. boots are hard for me, I can make a shoe seller cry by walking in and saying “I want knee-high boots”. And I felt strange asking other people to model some
Thanks so much for Jamie’s enrichment! I hope you have the files on order; I expect she’ll need more copies shortly
that was a very calm video….I certainly enjoyed it……….
6:15 of pure enchantment. Not only the lovely gift book, but Jamie’s routines – watering jug and hair brush. Thank you for this.
Fascinating to see a closeup of Jaime’s hand, fingers, & fingernails, watching her get her drink of water at the fountain so patiently, waiting for it to fill, and watching her brush her fur!
Simon, what a thoughtful gift, I can tell she loves it.
You must feel like a hero, not much is better than making Jamie happy.
Thank you :revolving_hearts:
I wonder if she knew that was her on the book?…. if so …….I think we just inflated her ego by a few more notches
A thoughtful gift indeed. It’s wonderful, and Jamie’s excited “pass it over and hurry” hand gesture proves her pleasure at seeing the perfect sized custom booklet. Well done Simon!!
Jamie using the watering can for her ‘to go’ cup is very funny. I am curious, do other chimps fill up cups to go or is this just a Jamie thing?
I think it’s a Jamie thing, except that Beezus uses a cup to forage for nuts on her scooter….well, she did before the other 6 arrived…not sure if she still forage scoots
I’ve seen other chimps do it (Missy, for example) but it’s mostly a Jamie thing.
Sweet! I didn’t realize (though not totally surprised) that the residents have fans from abroad. Do all of the chimps fill their drinking cups from the fountain? Do all use a brush for grooming? And remind me, does Jamie have boots to accessorize her fashion items?
Jamie is the only one that regularly fills cups from the fountain and brishes her hair but several other chimps will do those things occasionally. Jamie has about 20 pairs of boots of her own at any one time. Last night, she demanded a pair of embroidered boots before I was able to turn out the lights.
Simon, What a thoughtful and special gift for Jamie. You can tell she loves it very much. JB thanks for sharing such a touching video for all of us to enjoy.
Thank you, Simon! What a great idea!
Thank you Simon as you can see it was certainly welcomed by the boss. JB is going to be her BFF for bringing that special book to her.
i just got around to watching the video, what a thoughtful gift, Simon. I can tell she was quite taken with it. I laughed out loud when I saw Jamie using a watering can to drink her water. I look forward to seeing more of Jamie and her custom made boot book.
:innocent:Pure joy. She’s so smart. What a thoughtful gift, she certainly loves her gift.
Thank you JB for sharing this video – I so wanted to see Jamie’s reaction on receiving her book! So much more to this wonderful video too – I love how patiently she waits for her watering can to fill up before trying to take a drink, even though she was obviously so thirsty! And brushing her hair like a boss – what a vain lady, especially now she appears on book covers! I wonder if she recognises herself?
Thanks everyone for the kind comments – Linda, I will certainly have to get copies made! I still have all the files – they were just random images I found on the internet, so no models required!
Yeesh! I should have thought of that! Well, it was quite well received! Well done, you!
Honestly, I WAS wondering where you got so many pics of western wear/cowboy boots! 🙂
I had previouslycontacted a few retailers and stores who specialised in “cowboy” boots to see if they produced catalogues, but sadly none of them did – everythingseems to be online these days!
I loved watching this wonderful video of Jamie enjoying her new book. Thank you Simon for your thoughtful gift. You certainly made Jamie very happy!
