A Whirlwind of a Day

November 29, 2022 by Chad de Bree

Today has been a really busy day! Beyond the normal cleaning and preparing meals and enrichment, we had to shovel some snow, prepare for the incoming snowfall, and have our bi-weekly staff meeting! I was able to get some photos of Rayne for all to enjoy though!

And some bonus photos from last week!

Before the snow froze to become a giant ice cube for a bandit to steal, it was a trough full of fluffy snow!

Gordo was the first who grabbed a handful!

Followed by Willy B who shoved as much snow as his mouth could fit!

All the while Rayne took her time only picking out the best of the best of snow in the trough!

It’s amazing to think that when these two groups (before the integration) were very hesitant about snow treats! In fact, even last year they were pretty hesitant of snow. It’s always a joy when they come around on things they weren’t used to.

And finally, Negra still in her nest when I greeted her this morning!

And don’t forget Giving Tuesday! You can donate today or before the end of the year for our end of the year campaign!

Don’t you just love it when they find even more enrichment? Willy B is a hoot, Rayne has a new job as a very pretty model and dear Negra looks as though she’s been to the hair salon for a floof up!

Rayne looks a lot like Beezus in those top photos.
    Good morning, Neggie!
    Thanks, Chad!

In the midst of your busy day, you still find time to share a delightful story accompanied with photos to make my day. Just imagining Willy B’s freeze brain made me laugh!! And I never get tired of seeing Negra peeking out from her blanketed Comfort & Joy spot on high.

In the spirit of Comfort & Joy, I am having so much fun bidding in the auction! There’s some fierce competition! I’m not sure I stand a chance but it’s all a big win for the chimps!

I’m having a lot of fun bidding also. I just came in from taking my dog out, lots of wet snow coming down in north Seattle. I don’t get the appeal of a mouthful of snow but Willy B sure looks cute with it. I can sure identify with Negra all comfy under her blankets. Well, back to more more bidding!
