How lucky are we that we have so many celebrations in June!
Also, how lucky are we to have such amazing supporters?! Your comments about caregivers for Animal Sanctuary Caregiver Day will be read over and over again. We are all so grateful to have you all behind us all, providing so much encouragement and sharing your kind words.
Speaking of supporters, Paulette sponsored Honey B’s birthday today. It seemed like an extra special celebration in my view because she had more friends to share in her fun. I hope you enjoy the video, and I hope you enjoy this photo of Honey B looking into your eyes the way she looks into the eyes of her caregivers each day ;).
The video is wonderful! Loved when the were watching the set up; exactly like children.
How does one sponsor a day at the Chimp “Safe House”? Love these animals.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HONEY B !!
What a fun video, I love the Mango handout’s. Everyone had a great time, What more can you ask for from a good party?
HAPPY BIRTHDAY “B” GIRL………………………..?
They all looked like well seasoned party goers! I believe they’ve gotten the hang of this group-celebration-forage thingy. Reminds me of parties with The Seven the way their anticipation builds while you caregivers set up the party.
I have to comment Rayne’s stealth move as she plucked the bok choy (or green onions?) out of the bamboo bush! How did she ever see it?! Amazing.
Oh what fun, thanks for the video. And you served coffee?! I’m not sure I have ever seen coffee being served before. (Are you sure you want to introduce caffeine to excitable chimps?! Kidding! I am guessing it’s decaf.)
Happy Birthday Honey B! Hope you enjoyed celebrating within your big new family.Wait ’til you see what this year holds for you…..xoxo
Indeed, our birthday girl has a palate for coffee, presumably unleaded. I forget the date of the video, but there is footage of Beezie enjoying a room temperature cuppa joe. She makes a most delightful morning coffee break partner.
I am going to search for thatvideo now! Thanks Tobin.
Perhaps the video mentioned was this one from her birthday celebration two years ago? – http://chimpsnw.org/2020/06/happy-birthday-honey-b/
Definitely decaf!! 🙂
2 years already! Wow!
(looks like the issue is fixed)
What great fun! Thanks for the wonderful video, Diana. I love those mango drippings off their chins and those adorable smacking noises. I’ve been told that smacking while eating improves the flavor of foods or at least adds to the expression of gusto! And there certainly did seem to be a lot of gusto. It looks like they were saving their pink movie ticket strips for later fun & games.
Happy birthday dear Honey B. Looks like everyone had a great time and enjoyed the special treats. Thank you to all of you who made this possible for these special Chimp people!!! Love and hugs.
Happy Birthday, my sweet Honey B. I hope you were a good girl today and didn’t get into any mischief.
Another great party set up by the CSNW team. Well done all.
What wonderful parties you guys throw! Happy 33rd Honey:birthday::kissing_heart:
I realized after re-watcing the video last night that I labeled Willy B as Cy when he was coming down the stairs. Oops!
Given that Cy and Willy are besties if not peas in a pod, I don’t think that either friend will mind. Indeed, I would imagine that they would regard the misnomer as a compliment.
In honor of Honey B’s first birthday at the Sanctuary that she was able to share with her siblings Rayne, Lucky and Cy, I wish her a happy new year of life. Like her mother, Beezie is a chimp’s chimp and an adept athlete…she has a great presence both on-camera and off.
I didn’t miss the Cy/Willy confusion, but we got it! And we won’t tell!
Chad, I also love the idea of the popcorn forage on the other side! I hope they liked it, too!
