Today was a busy day! It took us a little longer than usual to clean because as J.B. mentioned a few days ago, somebody (I won’t mention any names) held out in allowing us to close off areas so we could clean them. Though we were eventually able to close them off to clean later throughout the day, we had a staff meeting once cleaning was done for the day. As Caregiver Kelsi has mentioned in the past, days when their are staff meetings can be hectic. So the equation of a hold out and staff meeting, my plans for a well developed blog about enrichment have gone out the window for today. But never fear, here are some photos I started to take throughout the day as I was plotting my original blog theme.

sounds like a nice, calm day after the flurry of the auction.
Have any of you stopped to taste the roses? In Mexico, they make rose petal ice cream….
Thanks for the photos, Chad!

I know that Honey B is very adept with a scrub brush, soap and water. Perhaps she is reluctant to have her human friends attempt to clean her living quarters because their efforts are just not quite to her exacting standards.

Tobin, you nailed it!

Knowing you were extra busy today I’m sending an extra big thank you for today’s update.
I’m sorry that She Who Will Not Be Named put a kink in your blog plans. Perhaps a happy accident, these rose hip photos are terrific. With the autumnal equinox tomorrow, and brisk mornings upon us, maybe rose hip tea would be a crowd pleaser? (As if you have the time to prepare and brew homemade tea. While you’re at it, please peel Jamie a grape.)

Rose hip tea is really good! I hope you humans have time to enjoy some of the bounty of what you grow. After all, we can’t take care of others if we don’t take care of ourselves.

Kathleen, I love your sense of humor! “She Who Will Not Be Named” and “Please peel Jamie a grape” — Fabulous! Both gave me a chuckle! Must say, especially your Jamie boss-lady reference. Thanks for getting my morning going so wonderfully!
