I spy, an I.D. challenge

August 12, 2021 by Anna

We took a timeout from intros today and enjoyed a relatively ordinary day at the sanctuary. This afternoon I went to take some photos of Cy’s group who were mostly all posted up in the higher levels of Greenhouse 2. I took a few photos of them hanging out on the platforms:

Cy in a serious moment
Rayne on the top platform
Terry finishing up his lunch (eggplant)

Then I spotted a mysterious dark silhouette through the caging…. This chimpanzee spy was posted at the bottom of Young’s Hill and was ogling the greenhouse residents…I snapped a photo that I’m about to show you. Can you identify this person, just from a blurry outline? I’ll post the answer to my pop quiz at the bottom of this blog.

Guess who?

Bonus photos! While you think about the answer to my ID test.

Dora foot and hands!

Mave!

Ok! Drumroll please…… The spy’s identity is:

Annie!

of course it was Annie! I’ll bet she was rocking back and forth, too!
Cy is almost as handsome as Willy B, he’s just missing that Johnny Carson twinkle in his eye!
I’m glad everyone enjoyed the day with less pressure, Anna!

Just wondering if you could sense Mave’s mood today? Wondering what her new friends were up to? OR happy to be having a more relaxed day?

Mave was very chill, but then again, Mave is always pretty darn chill 🙂

It’s probably Jaimie on patrol keeping everyone safe! Do you think you will be able to integrate the new group with the three; Mave, Willy B and Honey B?

We really can’t say how it will go yet but we are hopeful.

I too guessed Jamie. Now if Annie had been standing upright as usual I would have guessed right. 😉 Sweet curious Annie.

Thanks for all the great pics today.

A well deserved “ordinairy” day for everybody.
Great photo’s Anna; I guessed that Burritto was spying, I thought I recognised his stance….but is was Annie; had not expected that!
I know it is just a moment caught on camera, but all the photo’s ooze peacefullness; everyone seems happy.
And Mavis snoozing; resting from her adverntures meeting all kinds of new people. Also well deserved.

I thought Jodi! Because the other day she was ogling them. Remember? while she was eating that plant that looked like a corn dog. LOL I can’t think of the name of it !:see_no_evil:

But Annie? I never would’ve guessed Annie.

I think Mave is dreaming of Cy. There was a picture of him the other day in the greenhouse where I thought he looked like Charlton Heston. Sooooo handsome I’M even swooning! What can I say?

so… off topic: we used to get an email notification when other people post a comment. I haven’t been getting that for a few weeks. Is that a feature you could add back in? I liked that feature because if somebody posts a comment on a previous blog, we wont know unless we’re notified.
