Tangled up

March 10, 2020 by Kelsi

These three chimps are seriously funny! Honey B was climbing, swinging, biting on all the fire hose. It is amazing how she can balance on that fire hose! Mave and Honey B were tangled up in enrichment (not literally of course) or each other! As you will see in pictures below or the video, they are always up to something or finding new ways to use their enrichment. Mave found a red headband. She was flipping upside down on fire hose and putting it on to wear. And Willy B just wanted to join them in all their shenanigans!

Who needs a hammock when you have a nice firehose to hang out on?

Ms Sassafras has managed what The Boss could not! And she *claps* while she does it!

“Alexa, put headbands on the shopping list”

    The amazing Miss Honey B… A K A… Miss Honey *B -a-c-r-o-b-a-t* … : )
…This is such a sweet & cheerful blog…I really laughed at all three of these playful imps…They look so happy & carefree because they KNOW they’re truly safe, & I believe they know they’re “loved”…

Not only does Honey B have balancing skills but she’s has strong back muscles! Yikes, my back hurt just looking at her. She’s so funny showing off with her Tah-dah clap. I am still laughing over Mave and her bright red stretchy “yoga band”. When it accidentally snapped I howled! The look on Mave’s face afterwards and her head bobbing towards Honey B, oh so sweet. Luckily BFF Honey B knows all the right moves to bring the silly back to Mave.

Kudos to you for making them feel so free, happy and safe. What a fun time they seem to have. Just makes me happy to see them enjoying themselves.

    Great Blog today (everyday) Kelsi.
I have to ask, Off of the “play” topic here, is — What’s the recent forecast on the 10 someday living together? All stopped after the Burrito/Honey B debacle. Are there any plans of doing individual play dates i.e. mave and Missy, Willy B and Annie, Honey B and Negra? Would love to hear CSNW thoughts/ideas! Thanks!!

Hi Nancy – At this time we have no plans for play dates or for another attempt at integration between the Three and the Seven. However, we will be taking in more chimpanzees as soon as our next phases of construction are complete, which will likely be next summer but could be as early as this fall. Then we will see what the best options are for giving the Three more social companions.
