These eyes have seen a lot in their 39 years:
These arms have had babies torn from them:
This body has been viewed and treated as nothing more than a tool to experiment with:
This face is now loved by hundreds of people:
This post is for the love of Foxie in recognition of where she came from and how far away from that life she is now, thanks to everyone who has cared. Learn more about Foxie on her web page and in this post.
Beautiful soul.
Fantabulous Foxie, you have my respect, admiration, and above all my love. Your new life in sanctuary makes me do pirouettes of joy!! (I was just talking about you this afternoon at an event with fellow chimpanzee advocates.) You, beautiful Foxy, are a Rock Star!
How fabulous her eyes now see all of you at CSNW every day! ????
It’s wonderful that the lovely Foxie now has love, peace and comfort in her life. Thank you to all that make this possible!
Beautiful girl…can’t imagine all she has survived.
I never knew about or thought about medical experiment chimps until I read that first story about Foxy and now all I can think about is Chimps. I never knew there was such a wonderful place as CSNW and now the first thing I do each morning is run to my computer and open up my e-mail from there. So though I love all seven sweethearts living there, I always will have a special place in my heart for Foxy because she made me aware of these beautiful creatures who have been so abused. These pictures of her face today made me love her all the more.
Elaine – it’s so wonderful to read about your love of Foxie and the chimpanzees and how they allowed you to become aware of the plight of chimpanzees. Thank you for sharing that story.
Hundreds? Nay, thousands love her! Her pure heart, her wonder, her zest for life and friends. And her playful imagination that must have gotten her through those painful times.
At least now she can have and carry around any “baby” she wants and no one ever takes them from her. Many thanks to all of you who have made this possible for sweet Foxie.
Now those eyes can see people who care and a safe place to live.
So sweet and beautiful. Thanks for giving her a second chance in life.
She now is safe and loved…..thank you!
Beautiful Diana, I have read all the medical docs and info you have available online, I even followed links for the offspring to the other facilities. Was very sad when a couple of them didn’t work anymore because they had already passed away. But its easy to read the blog everyday, see the fun party days, re-watch my favorite funny or touching videos and forget what they have all been through. Thank you for reminding us in the best way possible, we should never forget. Foxie makes such a great Ambassador because she is so endearing, to enlighten the general public of what we do in the name of science. Not that I want her to have to have another job. 🙂 Love Mondays video of her, wish it was longer. lol
