Love it
Does Jody actually eat the pine?
Seems the pine would be prickly going down. The poor Christmas tree but if it makes Jody happy…..okay. You were able to et great photos of a relaxed Jody.
Hi Sherry,
I think Jody mostly wadges it in her mouth (making a pile of needles in her lip and sucking out the juice), but I think she does eat some of it too.
Jody seems to be enjoying herself.
I think it is wonderful that Jody always enjoys the holiday tree no matter where you place it! She is amazing.
Question: Is the Jody the only chimp who likes to pull the branches off the tree and eat them or do the other chimps dine on the tree too?
To my knowledge, I’ve only seen Jody attacking the pine tree. The other chimps like the bamboo and grass, but not so much the tree.
Thanks Anna, even more interesting! Now we know it is Jody’s little secret. Must be like us chewing on minty gum!
