Quiet Contemplation

November 25, 2013 by Lisa

Every day in sanctuary is a gift of life, a freedom, a privilege of choice that otherwise wouldn’t have been available to these chimpanzees. One of my greatest joys as a caregiver is, in fact, the moment I am not needed. Although I love to interact with the chimpanzees whenever we have the opportunity and am willing to don a boot and travel around Young’s Hill at Jamie’s inclination, I also appreciate the self-contained moments when my company is superfluous. I love knowing that these chimpanzees are so comfortable in their home, so secure in their sanctuary, that they can enjoy raucous company or quiet contemplation as they wish.

a MOST WONDERFUL POST LISA, It’s so beautiful to see them all ,, in their very o w n little corners of their sanctuary home, chilling, relaxing, reflecting or just soaking in mindless, effortless moments.. as in Negra , when she is soaking in the sun rays,, Its most heart-warming.. for those of us who don’t know them in person ,, unfortunately, but we have come to know them, via your CSNW blog, videos, pics, and posts,
Five years ago, they were unknowns, hidden, stashed away in the dark and dingy damp, sunless, airless cages, NOW,, they are Global International, National Public figures with each it sown fans, supporters, donors, Pals, and recipients of personal gifts
, ie Foxie and her love of trolls
    , and Dora
, Jamie and her Cowgirl Boots,
Jody and Negra and their love of comfort = BLANKETS
Burrito ‘s love of Popper Toys, Mardi Gras Beads, of course his FOOD, a Bonified FOODY
Missy and her love of Young s Hill, acrobatics, gymnastics,
Annie and her LOVE of FRIENDSHIP with BFF Missy,
they each have found what makes them tick with in their own selves,
they continuously change while they HEAL from their past lives
    CSNW
    is LOVE~ SUPPORT,`~ CARE,~ TRUST~
Sanctuary life agrees with them all,
YOU STAFF ARE ALL A GREAT SUCCESS
