Jamie often interrupts our cleaning routine to request a drink of water from the hose. She’s quite persistent; we’re usually not allowed to resume cleaning until she’s had her fill. Today, while Debbie and I were cleaning the front rooms, Jamie distracted us for probably fifteen minutes. We’re happy to serve, of course.
I don’t think this has anything to do with being thirsty, but has everything to do with being the center of attention. Jamie loves attention from her caregivers and her caregivers love to give her the attention she deserves.
Love it! I am always so amazed that the chimps can be so delicate in their actions. The cup is held just right, and it is placed carefully to the side where it won’t spill. Of course, to be surprised by a primate that has probably 12 times the strength and agility of myself is kind of silly. It is almost like I am stereotyping an individual that I know almost nothing about. I am humbled.
Love it! The girl puts her cup full of water to the side for backup and then gets her mouth filled again. You go Jamie!!! 😉
Oh Jamie, You are so smart! Love how she drinks from the cup and holds it. Love ALL of these chimps so much!
