Burrito expands his horizons

January 23, 2011 by Elizabeth

It’s always fun to catch one of the chimpanzees doing something he or she doesn’t usually do. Burrito doesn’t engage in much self-directed play with toys or objects. He’ll pick up a wooden block to chew on, or pass a scarf to a caregiver for a game of tug of war, but he doesn’t seem much interested in toys for their own sake. Today, though, he found a toy he couldn’t get enough of. I had to stop filming eventually, but he entertained himself for quite awhile.

Oh Mr. B……………………..you are the most handsome fella. To see you actually playing with an actual toy (or object) is another fine testament to your caregivers at CSNW. You are relaxed and happy enough to go outside of your comfort zone. What a joy to watch.

    Elizabeth………………….you’re so lucky!! 🙂

What Leslie says it’s true. I can’t wait to click on everyday & see what everyone has been up to and today, I got to see Mr. Burrito Man. Yay! I love them all but that lad has stolen my heart.

My toddler has a toy like this one. I’ve found myself playing with it a few time and tripping out to it! HA!
