VegFesting

April 10, 2010 by Diana

Come see Chimpanzee Sanctuary Northwest at VegFest in Seattle now and all weekend! VegFest is a huge event put on by the Vegetarians of Washington. The $8 ticket price is nothing when you see all of the free food samples.

Past board president and chimp house volunteer Mary took the first shift, current board president and chimp house volunteer Jessica took the second shift. Clearly, we have a pretty awesome board of directors. Read about all members on our Board of Directors page.

Jamie the Human (his official title to distinguish him from Jamie the Chimpanzee) is there now until 6pm tonight. Jamie will be back tomorrow morning at the 10:00am opening and I’ll be there all Sunday afternoon. Come say hi and drop a dollar or two in our donation jar.

I was there Sunday and my goodness, it was fantastic!!! It fed me for lunch and dinner!! It also changed a lot of my views on vegetarian food. As a matter of fact I am fixing field roast sliders for lunch at the moment. 🙂 I am learning how to become a vegetarian one meal at a time. If you get a chance to go next year, go.
