More adventures in the snow

December 19, 2008 by J.B.

Missy had her eye on a nice snowball, but she didn’t want to set foot in the snow to get it:

Foxie ventured out farther, with her troll in tow:

Foxie looks *so good* in that second picture – healthy, engaged, and enjoying herself!

She really does Anna! I also love the picture sequence of Missy grabbing the snowball. Where did she take it once she got? Inside, where it must have melted?

Great pictures JB! I just love the snow videos and still shots. I wonder when Missy will decide to throw a snowball. Foxie looks like she is mincing her way across the snow being careful where she steps. The poor little troll does look a bit over groomed Dee. They both look so healthy!

Oh JB these, as always, are wonderful!! I love the way Missy stretched so she could pull that snowball into the warmth. Theresa, I am also wondering when they will start throwing snowballs. It just seems so much a part of snow! Foxie, your my girl. You just go right out to where you want to be. No snow is going to stop you and your well groomed troll from playing outside. Thanks everyone.

When you look up “happy” in the dictionary, it should show Foxie’s fave in that last photo! Just wonderful.

I cannot wait for her to get her Christmas trolls, they are really big trolls I found, I cannot wait to see what she thinks of the bigger ones with alot of hair to be pulled out! Pam, I thought the same thing… Next year we can have such fun pictures of all the different seasons.
The calendars are so wonderful! I love the pictures you chose and also were able to include a couple birthdays. Well done!!!!

It seems it’s not so hard to take “happy” chimp pictures these days. They seem so often so happy. What a great holiday gift, happiness, that we’re all receiving. Might Foxie be showing her troll the new stuff (snow)?? Love that happy face!!!

Oh this is just TOO MUCH FUN!!! These photos are fantastic! Hey – I wonder if they’d figure out snow shoes if they saw the staff walking on them 😉 That look of pure, healthy, beautiful joy on Foxie’s face just melts me. Ahhhh, I will go to bed now with sugar plumbs dancing in my head.

Shelly C! THANK YOU! I received the candles today and I could, in fact, smell them before I even had the box opened! They’re fabulous, I love ’em!

I am so happy you like them Shelly K…tis the season to have 5 candles burning….you all are just getting buried up there, I am..well my husband is watching the Seattle game and I am in shock over the snow there..I also saw on the news the bus accident there with the 2 buses…that was a very close call…stay warm everyone, the chimps are probably staying inside in the warmth with the rest of us, I sure wish they had a Cle Elum Seven Cam….hehe…but I would have it going 24/7 and would not get a thing done! It is hard when we all , I know everyone else does the same…click on the CSNW go to the blog and nothing new..it makes my day everytime I see new videos and pictures…the one in the snow I have watched probably 20 times! This is an addiction to be very proud of!

Hi Shelly C ~ yep, SNOWED IN BIG TIME here on Whidbey – it’s a “Christmas miracle” that we still have power….which makes it all so breath-takingly gorgeous….I mean it’s just awesome! Incredibly beautiful.

I’m beyond thankful for the power (heat!) and as always, please say a little prayer for all the animals who are outside. The hummingbirds seem to be doing great, I’ve been very closely monitoring them ~ I’m hoping that’s a good sign for our wildlife. It’s more the domesticated animals with bad owners that I worry about.

Here’s to a winter wonderland and burning fabulous Shelly C / Chimp Sanctuary soy candles 🙂
