A new view

August 9, 2008 by Sarah

Yesterday we uncovered the doors to the (future) outdoor area so that the chimps could see the progress we’ve been making. Here’s Jamie checking things out, plus the view she got. It won’t be long before they’re out in the sunshine!

I bet they are wondering what the heck is going on out there, I cant wait to see they playing outdoors, I know on the show Chimp Eden it makes me tear up to watch the rescued chimps that have never walked on grass or climbed a tree take that first step, it is so exciting. Thank you Shelly Knapp, I just saw the post from you on the Gorilla rescue site, I will be on that now everyday, after checking on the 7 of course…..:) the baby gorillas are so adorable when they are babies, how in the world can a human hurt any of these awesome creatures, I will never understand, never!

Will the chimps be able to go outside all year round?

It’s going to be amazing to see them go outside for the first time. Thank you for the great work you are doing to make this happen for our 7 beautiful new friends.
