I am going through some photos and just found this close-up that Jackie took the other day of Foxie’s eyes. I love it!

Today in memory of Zippy cat
Today is a Sponsor a Day in memory of Pam and Marc’s cat friend Zippy, who they still miss everyday.
The majority of CSNW supporters, like Pam and Marc, probably share their lives with companion animals. The CSNW staff collectively have dog, cat and bunny family members, and we understand the loss of animals under our care. So, today we’ll be thinking of the love we knew you gave to Zippy during his years with you.
Thank you for choosing to remember Zippy and helping the Cle Elum Seven chimpanzees at the same time.
Visit the Donate page for information on how you can Sponsor a Day and to view upcoming dates.
Today in honor of Kaite McGrew
Thank you, Kaite McGrew for sponsoring today and helping the Cle Elum Seven continue to lives filled with variety, enriching experiences, play and love! Every single donation to the sanctuary helps us to fulfill our mission, and we couldn’t do it without supporters (and Facebook fans!) like you.
Anyone can sponsor a day of sanctuary! Visit the Sponsor-a-Day section of our donation info page.
banana update – $36,627 raised
With Karen and Don Young’s generous match for each new goal we reach towards our 2nd Anniversary Fundraising, we have just $873 to go to reach $40,000 and 2 caged windows replaced by bullet proof glass and $3,373 to go to reach our ultimate goal and replace three caged-windows windows.
Thanks so much to everyone who has donated and raised funds so far!
Only 27 days to reach the ultimate goal!
Today is Felicity’s Day!
Happy day, Felicity! Chimpanzee Sanctuary Northwest celebrates your day today, thanks to Catherine, Lindsay, Jamie, Annette and Amy. Pant hoots to you from all of your primate friends at the sanctuary, including the humans!
Anyone can honor a loved one! Visit the Sponsor-a-Day section of our donation info page.
accidental enrichment
Today was “fill the tub with water” day. We thought it would be fun to throw some of the forage in the tub. Apparently we do not know much about the buoyancy of fruit, because we figured grape tomatoes would float. They sank right to the bottom, and this turned into “accidental” enrichment for Missy and Jamie.
P.S. Thank you to Tamela for the sturdy tubs!
Watch KONG 6/16 or KING 5 tonight!
Footage filmed a few weeks ago at the sanctuary about a story focused on the Great Ape Protection Act will air on Seattle’s KONG 6 tonight at 10pm and KING 5 tonight at 11pm. Tune in! We hear the teasers for the story were shown on the stations this morning.
*Note – I messed up! The program is airing on KING 5 and it’s affiliate station, KONG 6/16 in Seattle. Originally, I posted it was airing on KOMO 4, also a great station, but not affiliated with KING 5. Sorry!
