Rainy Days With Neggie

September 20, 2023 by Kelsi

Personally, I am in deep denial about summer being over. Negra, on the other hand, seems to be enjoying the weather change. Today was a cool, overcast day that turned into a light misty rain from time to time. Negra has perfected rainy day comfort. She finds a cozy nest in the green house, finds a blanket to cover over her whole body including her head, and if she needs to get up- say, for breakfast- she grabs what she needs and goes back up to enjoy breakfast in bed. However, blanket must come back up over head.

Please enjoy this photo series of Negra on a rainy day, as much as she did :).

Nothing so comfy as a warm soft blanket on a rainy day, with breakfast to go. She is prepping for Fall in the Pacific Northwest.

So I just noticed that Negra has rather long finger nails. Is that because she spends more time lounging and is not as likely to wear them down from rougher activities like the others?

It’s been a scorcher here in Sydney with temperatures soaring – and bush fires blazing dangerously across the State-so the thought of a cool rainy day with Neggie holds double attraction for me. There’s nothing like settling down undet the blanket with your favourite snack. Neggie is one smart lady. Enjoy the coolet wrather in the Pacific Northwest.

No one nestles quite like Negra!

Negra needs a hat. Maybe someone could show her how to put one on at breakfast time. She looks so comfortable it makes me want to cuddle up too.

A hat? But wouldn’t that obscure the aura which is made by the Queen’s invisible tiara? In any event, I think our Neggie is just perfect.

Totally agree, Tobin. Our Lady Of Cozy Days is quite the vision of royal resplendance.

Just when I think I couldn’t love Negra more, I see her smiling-chow-bag-munching-keep-that-blanket-on-your-dear-head-to-stay-cozy-while-you-crunch face, and I realize, oh yes, I can love her more.

I would like to ask Neggie to scooch on over and make room for me under that blanket, breakfast in bed sounds fine.

Neggie knows the best way to spend a rainy day is cozy in bed. Doesn’t her face just scream “relaxation? Ah, to be as snug as a Neggie in her nest…

There is a softness in her face that melts my heart. Enjoy your snuggly day, Negra.

      Perfectly stated, Mary. Me too!
