Predictions

October 26, 2022 by Kelsi

During introductions it was hard tell who Honey B would become friends with. We knew Honey B enjoyed her alone time, but still appreciated the company of her chimp and human friends on her terms. When Honey B first re-met Dora they were both so excited to see each other! However, Terry and Honey B had to put the work into rebuilding a friendship. Recently, Honey B has been hot commodity with her new group. It seems like everyone wants to “mall walk,” groom, play, or just be around her. If we had to predict which chimps would bond with Honey B, Dora and Rayne would really be my only guesses. Lately, we find Honey B and Terry hanging out a lot. We have been seeing some play with her and Cy and even Gordo gets a little quick play session in from time to time.

Words can’t express the feelings I have when watching Honey B build connections with her group. It’s everything they worked so hard for and why a bigger social group is so important for chimps, especially one like Honey B.

And one more picture for fun! Can you guess who was wearing this accessory as an anklet?

Oh my darling Honey B. My heart just swells for her!

regarding the slinky, I was going to say Willy B.
When I first saw the photo I thought it was a chimp, head down, going into a HUGE slinky tunnel! I thought oh wow I didn’t know they made slinkies that big.:see_no_evil:

OK, now that I look in the environment, it couldn’t have been Willy B

Honey B is the It Girl! It’s wonderful knowing Honey B’s world has expanded. Even better knowing she embraces everyone, even if the intial meet ups were a bit awkward. Great photos of Honey B in her massive cozy colorful nests, thanks!

In the first photo of Cy and Honey B grooming, Rayne’s puckered lipped expression almost steals the show!

Glad to hear she’s being more social, and Terry has been forgiven.
On the side of the house, Burrito is slinky king! Easy peasy! Thanks for the fun game, Kelsi!

Every time I see the WW chimps, I sing your praises. Their lives have become so much more filled with fun, activity, and just plain happiness!! Their whole living situation has improved a hundred per cent……and they know it!!
My only regret is that I can no longer visit them!!

That is just wonderful. If I was to give out a Rookie of the Year Award it might be to Dora, who seems to have a way of connecting with the others. But I don’t know, I’d love to hear what the CSNW staff thinks.

Honey B, the ‘It’ girl? Why wouldn’t she be, she is so smart, very clever and a little devious now and then. We can’t forgot the small object placed in the corner of the automatic door so it wouldn’t close! I am so happy she building connections in her group. ?

Well if I were a chimp I would be vying for the attentions of Honey B too and get in with the “in” crowd! She is such a clever little darling!!
