The Ghost of Upcoming Christmas

December 3, 2020 by Anna

When he wrote A Christmas Carol, Charles Dickens forgot to mention the most important holiday ghost of all, the Ghost of Upcoming Christmas! This afternoon, Mave was visited by this joyful, sheet covered apparition. In case you were wondering, the only way to rid the sanctuary of this phantom is through tickles. Good thing we had Mave on the case.

Hilarious! One of the very first CSNW videos I ever saw was of Honey B’s mom playing ghost with Annie (Jan. 13, 2017). It appears that this particular spirit runs in the genes.

This is HYSTERICAL. I’m so glad the Chimps can enjoy themselves and have so much fun. Thank you for giving them the chance to do this.

Of course, it’s the Honey B!
While I was watching it, though, when someone laughed, I was thinking of Burrito, how interested he was in Mave, and how they got along…. And for some reason, I imagined him leading her out to the courtyard, as if to say, “hey, Mave, come look at this”.

Oh come on that’s too funny! How did you film this without laughing and shaking the camera? Especially when Mave rolls over and Ker-plunks onto her back! And I love Honey B’s head bob at the very end, seemed to directed at you Ms. Paparazzi.

So, we now know from yesterdays post that Honey B is just like her mom Missy because both are fast and today we discovered mom and daughter share the same Ghost Gene! Thanks so much Anna for this very silly video as well as your wonderful little story that accompanies it.

There’s just something about watching the chimps being so relaxed & carefree, while engaging in such playfulness with each another, that never fails to lift my spirits & make me feel so happy for them, knowing they really must sense how safe & secure they are now…

Chimps are so very entertaining at times. Life is good for them in the sanctuary.
I hope more chimps can join them soon.
