What a feast!
I really appreciate that Cy only took 2 hot dogs, and left one for someone else, unlike a certain someone (*cough* Beezus!*cough*).
Your kitchen wizard was at it again! Waffle cones for the ice cream from chow dust!
Thanks for always holding that space for Neggie, and all of her favorites!
The country’s longest parade is over, the illegal fireworks are going 1 block away, the smell of their lingering smoke is lazily drifting its way in through the open windows. The morning’s sea breeze died hours ago. We’ve had temps between 95-100 for the last three days; tomorrow brings relief.
Looks like the weather has held for the official ones downtown to start in a few (I haven’t heard the cruise ship horn say “Thank you” yet, so I didn’t miss them. I’d trade it in a heartbeat to picnic with the pacific north primates!
Happy 4th, all!
What a fabulous feast!! The chimps were so happy. So wonderful to see them enjoying heir food. Love to see Negra joining the party:) Thank you. Happy 4th to all of you!
Looks as if everyone in each chimp group enjoyed celebrating “Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness”. And Food!! Lots of food!
Thanks go out to all of you for making today’s party so special. Your menu is a culinary delight! I agree with Linda, it would be perfection to party with the Pacific Northwest foragers. Good to see that Negra was ready willing and able to join in the fun! Way to go Neggie, showing off your independence! I hope you party-planner-caregivers find time for a little “Pursuit of Happiness” too. Knowing the chimps are so dearly loved and cared for is my Happiness.
Y’all do such a wonderful job, the chimps seem so happy.
I shared it with my trainer who said that: “they’re so happy and excited!”
Loved George and Terry fist bumping over the treats!
Compliments to the chef(s) :rose:
Happy 4th July and thankyou everyone for, as usual, pulling out all the stops and making the party rock and roll. Food glorious food and it was a joy to see Negra and the gang enjoy their very special day.:sparkling_heart::sparkling_heart::sparkling_heart::sparkling_heart::sparkling_heart:
Well…..THIS patry sure looks a whole lot happier and more fun than some other 4th and 250th party I have seen……
Well done everybody.
And dear Negra is going to build a very developed upper body!
I just have to add how much it tickles me to see George dressed for the occasion. He sure fits in as if he’s always been there. 🙂
I share the sentiments inscribed above, especially those expressed by Linda and Marianne. Granted, yesterday was a momentuous day in the history of our unblemished, peace-loving republic: the 154th anniversary of the nativity of Calvin Coolidge in a quaint New England village. Nevertheless, compared to the patriotic fervor which obligated someone in my neighborhood to shoot off fireworks until 2:30 a.m., I think that I much, much prefer the declaration of Life, Liberty, and the Declaration of Happy Food Barks as proclaimed from the likes of Cy and Neggie.
And, I hope that the auditory nerves of Benny, Nala, and Abby were all spared from the sound of explosions.
What a feast! It seems the field roast hotdogs ate very popular. It breaks my heart to see Neggie moving like that, but I’m glad she got to snag some food.
What a fabulous Feast on the 4th. I loved everything on the menu even though i’ve never tried chow dust. It was good to see Negra scoot up to the table for the goodies. Thank you CSNW staff and volunteers.
