Who do you think is faster…50-year-old Missy or 21-year-old George? The veteran hill sprinter or the new kid on the block? And, importantly, is George technically disqualified from the race if he doesn’t cross the finish line, as Missy seems to suggest?
George is being carefully integrated into Cy’s group, but that hasn’t stopped him from making some friends across the fence and, in the process, keeping everyone (caregivers included) in better shape.

how in the world did you keep the camera steady while you were running!!???
Preternatural talent and athletic prowess.
Also, I think iPhones have some stabilizing software now.
Oh, I’ve been waiting for this day!
I was pretty sure George would get them on the uphill, since he’s younger.
I was cheering on our little spark plug on the downhill! Go, Miss!
Was that a little chimpy silent smack talk at the bottom?
Kudos to Tiny for trying. Arthritis is no fun, bsck you can’tkeep Foxie down!
I wonder if George had ever seen an elk before. I’m pretty sure that elk had never seen a chimp. What fun for both chimp troops and J.B.
That was actually one of the many mule deer that live around the sanctuary!
Was this video from today? I hope that you get snow soon.
It was from a week or so prior, but we are looking at a high of 57 today and no real snow in the forecast until at least Christmas.
Oh J.B., hands down you are the winner! Plus, you had the extra burden of filming both sides while running. Missy ran the farthest from starting out on top to going past the boys finish line, high speed, non stop. For a 50 year old who had health problems that almost caused her to miss the trip to Cle Elum, I’d say our Missy is the finest athlete of all. Then there is George and his youthful energy combined with his excitement over being able to run freely, outside! Hummm, perhaps that makes him the winner? I’m calling it a three-way tie. 😉 What fun!
Best part of the video was when I heard you say “Going home, George?” Home. Yup, George is home.
Looks like a Missy win! George might have had a head start, but the tomato queen can’t be beat! You’d never know she’s 50! (I love the little arm shake at George at the end! Seems Missy wanted him to run the full course!)
