Thanksgiving 2025

November 27, 2025 by Anna

There is just so much to be grateful for around here. A huge feast is surely in order!

Here’s what’s on the chimps’ menu:

Pumpkin pie with coconut cream

Vegan field roast

Baked sweet potatoes

Mashed potatoes

Corn and green beans

Dinner rolls

Cranberry sauce

Cider and tea

Pomegranate

Wishing you all a very happy holiday, however you might choose to celebrate!

What a feast! So joyous! And so nice to see Neggie, whom I don’t think I’ve seen for awhile. Nor have I heard her so vocal! Love how all of you at CSNW go above and beyond for these wonderful chimps. Happy Thanksgiving to all!

I agree with Mo. It was beautiful to see and hear Neggie. I think that all of the food squeaks and barks were Neggie and the chimpsters way of expressing their compliments to the chefs. I trust that George enjoyed his first Thanksgiving feast; may he enjoy many more.

I was actually talking to my phone: “Neggie, grab that field roast and roll before someone else does!” Serms she heard me!
Then I heard a kerfluffle started in the background: sounded like someone was depriving the Tiny One or Annie of their field roast. I was happy to see the Fabulous Ms Fox munching aeay in a front room. Thank you.
Georgie has discovered sparkling cider, yum!
As always, thanks to everyone who worked today and contributed to their holiday (especially those little pumpkin pies!). I hope your holiday went well. I’ll be sitting down to my own dinner in a moment, and I’m ever grateful to have stumbled upon this place that I visit virtually, because a particular chimpy person loves her dolls.

Whay happy hoots and lip smacks for a delicious Thanksgiving meal. George was very careful not to spill anything. Thanks, everyone st CSNW.

What pure joy to watch them anticipate then enjoy that wonderful feast. Thank you caregivers for all the hard work which was so appreciated. Loved it all but especially dear Neggie who had such a wonderful time, and sweet George who also enjoyed his first Thanksgiving with you. They all look and sound so very happy, and we all give thanks this day for the life that they now have.

It’s an absolute delight to see everyone anticipate and enjoy their holiday meal. Thank you for preparing everything and sharing the welcomed celebrations.

This Thanksgiving feast might just win the prize for the most super excited food squeaks ever!!! I also believe this was the best day in George’s life! He was beside himself lost in food joy. And seeing Neggie grab and bite into her field roast, followed by her favorite roll, squeaking with pleasure, brought tears to my eyes. As did seeing Willy B, especially when, after trying many of the delicious delicacies, he bit into his field roast and groaned like a dinosaur. Little Dora at the end was the perfect dessert!

I give thanks because there are people like you, you incredible caregivers, who create all this joy for the chimps (and us!) on your holiday. I’d say you don’t have the opportunity to spend the day with your family, but that’s not entirely true. You spend the day with your chimpanzee family. That’s something to be very thankful for. Thank you!

What a smorgasboard! I just loved seeing everyone digging into their delicous meal. This year, with a new friend to be thankful for! I loved hearing Neggie’s grunts and squeaks, Hawaiian roll in hand, as she ate her meal! Dora at the end checking herself out as she ate was also absolutely adorable! She likes to watch herself eat!

Happy Thankgiving to all of you. This is wonderful to see and hear the Chimps so happy and excited for their Thanksgiving feast. What an amazing menu and everything looks so delicious. I am grateful to be a supporter of this wonderful Sanctuary. Thank you for all the incredible work that you do.
