George has been getting out on the Bray more and now that he’s more comfortable he is out at the same time as Jamie’s group and recently Missy (followed by Jamie) was, seemingly, walking up Young’s Hill alongside George who was in the Bray. Caregiver Kelsi and I stopped everything to go outside and check it out and were able to record some footage of the event.
Don’t forget you can join us online for our HOOT event for pre-show at 6:00 and live broadcast at 6:30 (PT) and we have our online auction going through the weekend!

I’m sure I heard Jamie yell back to Missy “girl…look, there he is, hurry up so we can get a good look at that hunk, George. Let me do the talking to him, okay?
Looks like the girls are crazy for the new guy. Missed you at HOOT tonite, Nancy. Hope you watched online.
Can the chimps distinguish one chimp from the other? Would Missy & Jamie know this is George?.
It looks like George has mastered the art of the nest!
it sure does!
George sure has taken to the outdoor enclosure! I have to wonder what Jamie and co. think of their new neighbor? Missy seems to have taken a shine to him, at least!
I love seeing George all nestled in!
fun to watch
Looks like George is a form of enrichment for Jamie and Missy! George was playing it pretty cool for a newbie. The end photo of George all snug in his well built blankety nest was adorable. Didn’t take him long to figure out nest building did it?! And George did it all by himself, no one there to learn from. Well done!!
Sending out a big “Thank You” to everyone involved in last nights HOOT! event. It was fun watching from home, thanks for letting all of us join in on the excitement. CSNW supporters have so much generosity in their hearts, it’s astounding! An extremely successful evening. Also worth mentioning, Jody’s memorial is lovely. I hope to sit there some day under the warmth of the sun and reflect upon the pleasure Jody brought to my life, even if it was only through the blog that I came to know and love her. I can only imagine how uniquely special the memorial is for all of you who were her friends. And I look forward to seeing the ongoing progress of your new construction projects. As those fabulous HOOT! videos proved, there is never a dull moment at Chimpanzee Sanctuary Northwest!
