Celebrating Mave on the Other Side of the Building

September 26, 2025 by Krissy Brasfield

Yesterday, you got to see Mave celebrate her 36th birthday!  Did you miss it?  If so, check it out here!

Today, you get to see what everyone was doing on the other side of the building!  Jamie, Missy, Annie, Burrito, Foxie and Negra got to venture out onto Young’s Hill, their 2 acre outdoor habitat, to forage for all of the birthday goodies!  They had coconuts, Dole Whip, baby heads of iceberg lettuce, corn and mini peppers.  YUM!  (No mango for this group due to Annie’s mango allergy.  Bummer!)

It was quite windy outside, but most everyone braved the wind gusts to participate in the party treats!  Can you guess who DID NOT brave the wind?

As soon as you said it was windy, I knew it was going to be Neggie who stayed inside! Looks like she was babysitting one of Foxy’s newest doll friends in her pelvic pocket. A gorgeous day! Only the Fabulous Ms Fox is missing.

Ha! But Neggie still looked windswept 🙂
I love how she kept her eye on the others outside. “Look at those silly fools foraging for food while mine is just handed to me here in my queendom.”

I think Burrito was avoiding the Negra Tax at the door:sweat_smile:

Gosh, I could hear that Pacific North West wind all the way here in Sydney,Australia! It was good to see those darlings braving the elements for a delicious birthday forage. But then Neggie got the smarts cosily cwtched up indoors and graciously accepting those treats. Inside or out doors a good time was had by all.

It did look like a windy forage! I think the logs created a slight buffer from the wind, but not as good as sitting in the middle of Negra’s cabin.

There’s a reason Negra is the Queen! Just look at her lounging and dining on her lettuce and yet, she still finds time to keep a close eye on her subjects below.(I hope got a cup of Dole whip!)

One more time: the crunching, and, chewing, sounds ae divine!
