Today, Foxie and her twin baby doll friends went for a stroll around Young’s Hill. It’s unusual to find Foxie out and about without at least one of her “babies”.
Since her recent birthday, Foxie has been toting around one or more of her brand new dolls everywhere she goes. She takes them to meals, she naps with them, she plays games with them, and she goes on long walks with them.
Foxie LOVES her dolls! She carries them in her mouth, on her back, or in her pelvic pocket. She kisses them, tosses them, asks caregivers to babysit them, and she even disciplines them when needed.
Dolls are Foxie’s absolute favorite form of enrichment!
My favorite form of enrichment is a good book, especially a thriller! I’m currently reading The Only One Left by Riley Sager.
What’s your favorite form of enrichment?
Speaking of enrichment…our wish lists are chock-full of enrichment items and other staples that can be donated to keep our chimps as happy and healthy as can be! Thank you for checking it out!

Foxie with her dolls is just the cutest thing in the world. I love seeing her out and about with her favorites. As for me, my favorite form of enrichment this summer is a good horror novel!
And Uncle Stevie has a new one out!
(kind of)
Its is so wonderful to know that these animals have a chance of a good life as best as can be under this world’s circumstances. It is equally sad to know that others are not so fortunate through no fault of their own…only human fault. Love you all… Robert Mendoza
?All these years later and Foxie still loves her dolls. It’s very touching. Does she still enjoy a troll doll every now and then, or are they just too hard to find these days? As for me, my favorite enrichment is spending time with dogs. First and foremost, my personal pooch, and all the dogs at the shelter where I volunteer and the donkeys who are provided a sanctuary home there, too. Dogs and donkeys are not as portable as Foxie’s dolls (can’t fit them in my mouth or carry them on my back!) but if they were, I too would take them with me wherever I go.
For me, it’s always bern books. I rarely leave the house without one, bc you never know when you’ll have a few moments. My reading has taken a hit since 2018; I used to read about 65/yr plus work stuff; now, I’m lucky if I make 25. But I’ll never stop completely.
Ms Orange Blossom working double duty. Literally!
Foxie’s life is greatly enroched with all her dolls. As a literature major, books are my delight. Even that stack in the corner which I know I will read some day give me joy just to have them patiently wauting.
Ever since i found the CSNW blog back in the Covid lockdown days I have looked forward to those few minutes of enrichment it gives me reading the blog entry and responses each day. Thank you all.
