Enjoy watching members of Cy’s group during their forage today, in much the same way that I enjoyed it in real time. It’s a good video for identification practice if you’re up for it!

That was so relaxing to watch. Chimp peeping is a great pastime! I’m disappointed to see the greenhouse panels going up. I guess it’s now official, the warm weather is behind us and winter is coming. Sigh. I confess that was hoping we’d see little Dora comfortably out on the Bray this season. On the up side, I guess have something to look forward to next spring!
Us too. Both in regards to facing the official start to colder weather and hoping to see Dora out there this fall. October has been a true gift, though, and all of the primates have been basking in the beautiful weather and views. I do have a funny video of Dora on the Bray from last week. Well, funny after the fact. She went out during a fight, and when things got intense out there, she stealthily walked around the brawl and went back inside. I do think that with Honey B and Mave now leading the way, and knowning that they started to go out only for conflicts, that Dora can’t be far behind.
Oh, Diana, you must share that video! Cracks me up that whenever there is a reference to Dora braving the Bray the statement begins with “She went out during a fight….”! I love how feisty the Girl Gang can be!! And I apologize for suggesting that with the colder temperatures Dora may wait until springtime to really venture outside. Perhaps she is deliberately waiting for the Bray to be covered in snow so she can go out, slide down the hill on her back and grab fistfuls of snow snacks. I’m patient and I will happily wait because I know one day, someday Dora will surprise us.
I’ll see what I have to share. Maybe next week. It was a pretty dramatic fight, with that Dora scene the comedic relief 🙂
athen, right up there with Lucky’s blanket car going off road. Yes, please!
Ahhhh…winter is coming….
Diana, was there something missing?
“…your whole world was sudenly….”? Suddenly what? is it just too late at night for me? I’m not sure if I understand.
Beautiful day, regardless, and good for chimp ID!
suddenly Expand. it was supposed to say. perhaps that disappeared in the final edit.
I went back and watched it again just to make sure I had not missed it. Thank you! Glad it was something good!
Fixed!
?
I agree with Kathleen, this was a very relaxing video to watch. The chimps looked very relaxed too, I was nearly moved to tears watching them, thinking of the lives they live now compared to their lives before sanctuary. I can’t see well enough on my phone to differentiate one chimp from the other, but, I’m guessing Honey B was not one of them.
For a second I thought that was her on the fire hose, but it was Rayne.
Such relaxing, soft piano music, such gorgeous Pacific Northwest Fall colors. These beautiful souls are free to look, to see all sround them. Sting said it best “every step you take, everymove you make, I’ll be watching you.”
Nice to see the greenhouse panels going up! hope the weather stays chill enough for both yall and the chimps!
The ground is definitely getting crunchy! Nice video. Thank you:star_struck::heart_eyes:
