Sometimes some of the best things in life are the simplest. I recently bought a heavy duty crate for my dog because he is a little destructive sometimes when alone. It was a little expensive, which is sad for me BUT there’s always an upside! The boxes the crate came in were massive so I knew the perfect solution: bring the boxes to the chimps..

And later Cy used the boxes as a fort to create a private reading space for himself:

How creative and thoughtful of you, Sabrina, using that enormous box for the chimps’ enrichment.( I hope your dog was less destructive with the heavy duty crate!). Whether it’s reading a magazine (Cy)or playing peak a boo in that box (Lucky) it provided :tropical_drink:some very pleasant entertainment all round. The simple things are sometomes best.
i’m assuming Cy will be soliciting canle TV shows to sponsor his segment on DIY library building. i’d watch. Cardboard boxes are great for chimps, cats, dogs and little humans. Sabrina, i hope the new crate works for your dog.
Those boxes certainly look like they will hold up through some rough play. It looks like Cy has opened the magazine to a picture of Toni Collette, a star in one of my favorite movies, Muriel’s Wedding. Sabrina, thanks for providing some fun with the boxes, perhaps they will be used in someone’s nest tonight.
Lucky, Dora, and Cy all have their own unique way to utilize your box parts. What is it about cardboard boxes? So much fun once they are opened!
Hope your pooch enjoys nesting in his new crate. He’s a lucky dog because he has you to help him with your PRT! You’ll have him feeling as cozy as Lucky in her box in no time.
