Annie’s 50th Birthday Bash!

September 11, 2024 by Kelsi

The highly anticipated birthday video is here! We had such a fun day celebrating one of the sweetest chimps we know, Annie! I think Jenna explained Annie perfectly in her blog the other day. Yesterday, It was a pretty mellow party day for all the exciting food that was made! However, Annie is a low key gal, so I think she might have appreciate the exciting party that wasn’t so exciting to drew too much of Jamie’s attention. Though I do think Negra thought the party was for her, I guess we know what Negra wants for her birthday next year!

Looks like Annie’s party was a blast!!! I love seeing everyone get so excited when shown the food! Annie with a mouth full of chow just makes me smile! Happy birthday beautiful Annie bird!
Negra can really move when her favorites are on offer! She was chomping at the bit to get out and start the forage! Annie doesn’t seem to mind, though!

Aw, part of me is so happy to hear Burrito and Negra squeaking at their mini pies and the other part of me is kind of sad that Annie realizes that the Chow is going to keep her full longer, and she goes for that in case somebody steals her other food….:pensive:
I’m pretty sure that I heard Jamie throwing out some food groans before they even started eating lunch!

I’m glad everyone had a great day and that was an amazing amount of work to put in! I think the banana cakes should come around often, it didn’t look like they were made with chow dust! and the chimps really seem to enjoy them! Maybe some mini pumpkin pies for Thanksgiving!

oh, and I was going to say that as you walked up with the banana breads at lunch time, I couldn’t help but think that if it had been me, I would have tried to sneak one to Annie and to Negra through the meshing, but then I saw Jamie over their shoulder

I agree it’s so wonderful to see and hear their pleasure. And I’m glad dear old Negra thought the celebration was for her.

The catering crew totally outdid themselves for this 50th birthday celebration blowout. Wow, the arms full of sunflowers looked so beautiful!! I am sure they tasted as good as they looked. Annie, being a quiet lady, seemed to enjoy the festivities in her own way. I get the feeling primate chow is her favorite over all the healthy and delectable baked goods that were laid out before her. Neggie and Jamie, on the other hand, were thrilled with the days menu. All of it! Maybe they both thought the day was all about them?!

Cy’s group showed enough excitement for the entire house! Annie’s 50th birthday menu is keeper. Thank you for caring for Annie so much that she lived long enough to reach 50. And she blossomed during that time because of your love and support.

A, very, delicious and, eye, appealing, combo of vegetables and fruit! You guys had a, great, sense of what makes in, appealing, and colorful, meal for the chimps! I love to hear the, food, sqeaks! I, also, admire the fact that you display the menu in front of all the chimps! Annie was, really, surveying the offerings!
