If you hear laughter coming from the chimp house, chances are Burrito is involved.
Also – we put out a lunch forage for Cy’s group this afternoon and Chad placed a whole tomato where only the bravest chimpanzee could find it. Look at Lucky go!

Since the rearrangement, Carlene’s tower is more popular than ever. Looks like Missy was in the playing mood.
And my heart still skips a beat when I see them playing in those upper windows.

I LOVE these videos!! Seeing pairs of chimps (usually Burrito) playing brings me great joy!
I was so excited to see Mave, Honey B and Dora outside the other day! Do you think that since thay have done it once it might be easier to do again? I knnow you cant answer that but OMG my heart just soared seeing that!! 🙂
Yup, just another silly day at the sanctuary! When Steve Martin started out doing stand-up, he had a line he’d sing at the end of his shtick —“I get paid for doing this”. While watching this video that line was going through my head. All those little snippets of joy! To be able to see each scene, that’s some amazing job!!
Burrito and Missy have all that great outdoors to chase each other and yet, there they are, in that little space, playing chase-foot-grab. And having the time of their lives! So funny.
Burrito’s laughing face with Jamie made me laugh out loud. And through all the silliness, Jamie never misplaced her Lucy page. She was lightning fast moving it, never lost a beat.
Box of Rayne, Foxie sporting her Troll hat, Jamie quietly sipping her special soup-drink. It’s like everywhere you turn there’s something wonderful happening to make you smile or laugh.
But the cherry on top today was Lucky getting the prize tomato!! I am so proud of Lucky.
Sanctuary is so many things. Everyday. A whirling kaleidoscope of who knows what’s going to happen next.
When tne word ‘play’ comes up in the title, you just know who is going to be the star! I just love the way Burrito tailors his play style to each friend, but to see him with Jamie is a treat….he brings out the best in her, and to hear them laughing so much is wonderful.
Good job Lucky, you deserve that whole tomato for being brave……the cat that got the cream aka the chimp who got the tomato!

Jamie is certainly a well-read lady. Never without a little reading material, even when playing.
And sweet Foxie! Isn’t she just the absolute cutest? I love how she plays with her dolls.
Has Rayne been taking pointers from Gordo? Looks like she’s discovered her inner cat, too.
My favorite of this wonderful collage of clips is Foxie with the purple (doll) hat on. Love how she flipped it on top and kept it balanced up there for quite some time.
