As you may recall, we only recently learned that September 25th is Mave’s actual birth date and we used to celebrate her birthday on May 27th. So this year Mave gets two celebrations! Though of course, we celebrate her in all her wonderful, freckled, floofy glory every day.

Tobin and I hold the memory of our kind and longsuffering piano teacher Mrs. Middlesworth in high esteem. She helped us find middle C and listened patiently each year to new students pound out The Mighty Speedboat. There is something about Mave and her fondness and watchcare of little Dora that has us so smitten that we have taken to referring to her as Mave Middlesworth in our many phone discussions of all things CSNW. Happiest of Birthday Blessings to Mave. From the beauty mark on your lovely lip, to the way your muzzle always looks freshly powdered in Debutante Peach, you have thoroughly enchanted me. Have a wonderful day being celebrated for just being you. Thanks for being such a good mentor/grooming partner to Dora and a delightful dance partner to Gordo.
