A Rare Moment with Willy B

July 20, 2023 by Anna

It can cause a special happy adrenaline rush for a caregiver to share a moment with a chimpanzee who generally only acknowledges your existence when he wants food or to look at pictures on your cell phone.

He obviously likes the caregiver to put in a bit of effort. Kelsi is looking tired out!

:joy:. I loved the end of the video when he waved his hand and seemed to say “that was fun, now time to run”.

Kelsi! Were you laughing under your mask?! That was so funny. Willy B is a crack up when he wants to be. Maybe he’s been watching some of Burrito’s moves from the Bray.

Thanks Anna. This was the perfect ending to my day.

PS : Happy birthday to Betsy, right?! Isn’t her birthday 07/20? Hope she had great day!

What fun, Kelsi! So charming you are together! Really does my heart good to see him engaging in play and enjoying himself. I recall the days when he was pretty disengaged and having some difficulty at the beginning when he & Mave & Honey B first arrived. He wouldn’t walk on grass in the structure, so many new things to learn. It’s really wonderful to see him (each of them!) engaging and enjoying their lives. Thanks for this display of fun!
