Have a great Summer!

June 21, 2022 by Sofia Castro-Loza

It is officially the best time of the year, in my opinion anyway! Today marks the first day of Summer and what better way to celebrate than with a hill forage. The sun was out, the clouds were nowhere to be seen and the temperature finally caught up with the Seasons. The chimps on Burrito’s group got a forage on Young’s Hill that included corn, mini potatoes, barbecue green onions, tomatoes, and chow. On the other side Cy and his friends got corn, peppers and barbecue green onions. On both sides, lunch was a hit. Enjoy some photos of today’s Summer menu.

    Hey, Sofía!
I think you guys took our good temps; we’re chilly again! (but I’m not complaining. it’ll warm up soon enough).
Annie really scored onthe chow, lol!

When the chimps get corn (and I love seeing Neggie with her favs), is it roasted or cooked? or sometimes raw?

Thank you Sofia for these summery yummery images. We didn’t see the sun today so these photos are brightening up my day. What a way to kick off summertime, corn on the cob and barbecued green onions. Speaking of corn…..Negra and Dora (especially that last photo of Dora ….life is good when you are eating summer corn! And Annie scored on the chow today. Welcome summer!

I especially liked Annie’s chair, Jodi’s perch, and Dora’s corn. burritos hair is just always perfection isn’t it? I think he brushes it.

Cousin Burrito inherited his hairdo from his/my/our grandfather. For all I know Bubba goes to the same barber on the courthouse square in Rockville, Indiana.
