National Burrito Day!

April 7, 2022 by Sofia Castro-Loza

Today is National Burrito day!!! I wanted to shower everyone today with Burrito photos but he had other ideas. I went on two walks around Youngs Hill with Burrito and Jamie before 11AM. Burrito was in from the get-go but Jamie had special requests. She required me to wear one size smaller boots, and also requested that I drive the Gator both times. During those walks Burrito took the opportunity to climb the Twister structure to try and get a better look at the construction happening outside the perimeter of the hill. Once he came back in, he spent most of the day asking caregivers to play chase with him and wanting to play through the mesh while actively running away from the camera. Totally understandable because it has been a beautiful day out, perfect to keep everyone very active and moving.

On the other side of the Chimp House, the chimps in both Honey B’s and Rayne’s group spent most of the day in their green houses enjoying the nice day.

Will Chipotle be giving away photos of Burrito Chimpanzee with their burritos? So funny, and national holiday I am happy to join in and celebrate because I love Mr. B. And you couldn’t celebrate without honoring the BFF Duo of Chad and Burrito.

Great photos from all sides of the chimphouse Sofia, thank you.

Sofia, how are your toes feeling after wearing a size smaller than usual? Mine would be killing me but I guess if Jamie requested it I would obey. I just love the pictures!!

Throw in an ankle and injury, and it’s even worse!:smile:Last time I went to Perú to visit friends, I had boots custom-made for about $100. Then I tore a meniscus, and I am still not comfortable wearing them, because they are not cushioned (and I think he got a little happy with the heel height)!

Enjoyed the photos. Burrito is so suave in his portrait and Honey B is just elegant.

It’s about time Burrito got his very own day. There really is no one more worthy than my main man. In fact, every day should be National Burrito Day.

Excellent photos! I’m late in commenting but, I’ve been in love with my Burritoman, since I first saw him over 10 years ago! I really love the pictures of him and Chad and I agree. It’s about time Burrito got his own special day.:heart::heart::heart:?
