Let’s Play!

April 6, 2022 by Kelsi

As I looked through my phone I realized I had so many small clips of the chimps playing. Some were too short to make into a full video, so with the help of some other caregivers we made a montage of the chimps playing over the last couple weeks.

I was also was able to snag a handle full of photos today!

Spring is here because Negra says it is:

The mischievous Miss Honey B:

Dora melting in the warm Oakwood greenhouse:

The handsome freckled-face Terry:

I felt like someone was spying on me while I tried to take photos of Terry. I was right!

It was Lucky spying on me:

Sam took this great photo of Burrito and was kind enough to share it with me. If you are thinking, geez Burrito looks intense you are right! He was ready to play! After he let Sam snap some photos he leaped up and insisted they start playing chase!

Those 2 boys are loud when they roughhouse! 🙂
Cy seems to have a gray spot in the same place on his lower back as Missy

Love how totally relaxed the ladies are- feet up on the wall, sprawling back on the top of a barrell. Smiles at the stills. Thanks, Kelsi!

And the award for Best Movie Clips goes to…..

Thanks Kelsi, what a great idea. Burrito and that box, what fun. And that’s some scar on Cy’s leg and another on his right backside. What happen to our favorite silverback?

So I guess it is now officially spring if Negra is noshing on her sweet tender grass. I just love seeing this!

it is great to see Cy interacting with another chimp. Normally we only see him sitting on his own with his reading matter. thanks Kelsi for showing a different side of Cy

Honey B spinning on the fire hise reminded me of the circus performers that hold on to a rope with their hair or teeth and spin a they are pulled into the air.

Me, too! I’m always surprised not to see Foxie using the wheel that they have for this purpose! Or Honey B, for that matter! I think they need caregiver demos, to show them how it’s done, like Hercules and his scooter!
