Just Another Sunny(ish) Sunday

March 27, 2022 by Sam Jones

Just another relaxing Sunday around the chimp house! As I’m writing this the weather is looking more and more like it’s going to start raining at any moment, but for most of the day though the weather was beautiful! Willy B enjoyed some naps in the Courtyard and later even Negra went out to see the sunshine on Young’s Hill.

Here are some photos of Foxie’s group on Young’s Hill today.

I have written this for the past five years, like a broken record and/or skipping CD, but, oh, the chimpanzees who reside outside of Cle Elum are so beautiful! All of these pictures of works of Art but, ah!, that look on Annie’s face on that second photograph of hers from the top: she looks so cunningly mischeivous. As for Burrito and the boot, it appears that Jamie’s influence has made an impression with him (will Jamie start chewing on wooden blocks soon?).

Aw. While I love every single picture, I think my favorites are the pairs. Annie grooming Missy, Terry and Dora. I got a sense of peace and companionship.

Hang in there! I’m sure the sun will shine more and more each day

The pic of Jaime is absoluty the best. National Geographic quality. Captures perfectly the the wise, mishcevious, matriarch that IS Jaime!

Thanks for the pics of a beautiful day, Sam!
It almost looks as though the Tiny One is filling out a bit!

Wow, great photos Sam. Thanks so much! You managed to (almost) catch each of the Seven basking in the sunshine. I see Annie stood in for a second photo to represent BFF Missy who, no doubt, was zooming around Young’s Hill. How can you photograph a blur? Sweet of Missy to pose for you while she was relaxing inside. And I just love upside down Rayne!
