Today was a pretty laid-back day here at the chimp house. Although I worry about typing that before the day is over just in case I jink it! Winter is still in full swing and even though the sun was shining some today, it was bitter cold and a good day to rest. Jamie had the right idea and assembled the best nest that grew over the day!
Jamie in her nest after we finished cleaning the playroom.
Jamie’s nest with a few boot and blanket additions after lunch.
Here’s what some of the others were up to today.
Foxie was watching the neighbors.
Burrito looking as handsome as ever.
Mave with her cup.
Honey B and Mave grooming in the afternoon.
Lucky resting up high.
They are all precious and amazing! Do you still need blankets? Hope you got the ones i sent
Jamie in “her” spot!
Thanks, Sam!
That was me yesterday….today was the day to dig out, because while Mother Nature left my yard with only a dusting of snow, she has a sense of humor….and piled up the drift at my front door/stoop/mailbox!
A total of about 2-3 hours today….now I know how one day of your life felt a few weeks back!
Oh Linda, I know how you feel. And once you dig yourself out, the plows come along and shove it all back up onto the driveways, walkways and mailboxes. Cheer up, only 3 more months to go!
Hi, Betsy!
No, this is a once in a few years kind of storm for us. We might get more Friday, but this was the “bomb cyclone” type of storm (thunder snow and all). But yeah, I was standing right there, and he wasn’t even trying to pretend!
In the future, I could leave the car in the garage, but that would increase the surface area that needs to be shoveled!
Today, the sorest part of my body is the space between fingers and thumb, where the shovel was!
I have always enjoyed the fact that Jamie likes to nest right at the bottom of the stairs. She’s got a great vantage point of all the comings and goings. Her ever growing nest today looks like a perfect universe!
Love seeing all the photos. Especially dear Burrito.
That picture of Mave is perfect…I’m beginning to fall in love with her.
are the upper decks heated…?
I love seeing the chimps all snuggled up in their nests. my favorites. I’m snuggled up in my own little nest. Quite the cold snap here in South Florida. It was in the 40s last night! That’s very unusual for here. had to dig out some long pants LOL. I know I know. I’m laughing as I write this because I know you’re all rolling your eyes. But hey! It’s cold!!! I wish I had heated floors right now like they do.
Love all the pics Sam. Thank you!
