It was a pretty laid back day around the chimp house today. Everyone must still be resting from Jamieween and Lucky’s birthday! The weather was cold and mostly cloudy today, so it was a good day to just lounge around. In the afternoon there was a window of some sun and the chimpanzees in Jamie’s group took this opportunity to explore Young’s Hill. They were out there for awhile, but then it was back to resting again.

Just as I was adding the title of this blog “Quiet Days” Willy B started rolling this scooter back and forth. I think it’s dinner time!

Wonderful photos Sam, all of them. Annie’s soft, fuzzy bed head made me smile. Thanks for including all these images of her. Same goes for Honey B and her box inspection.

Loved all the pictures of Annie all in a row. Now that really helps me learn how to identify her. From the front, from the side, looking down etc. I just love her.

Hi again Paulette…Since I’m having some memory issues, I just now realized that perhaps I’d forgotten when I re-signed up for receiving the daily blog posts & probably forgot to check the box to be notified again of the followup comments…I’ve now done that so hopefully I’ll begin receiving the notifications via my email very soon…Could you have also just forgotten to check that notification button again after signing up this last time…I hope I’ve helped you because I know how much I enjoy reading ALL the comments from day-to-day… : )
Each time you comment, there is a box to check underneath it requesting to be notified of future comments. I click that box every day. And for a while I was receiving notification of new comments but I am no longer. I’ll shoot off an email to Diana
I’ve checked it often, Paulette. perhaps once in the few years I’ve followed the blog have I received a notice.
Our web support person, Dave, who lives in Australia, is looking into this. He’s going to try setting it up so the emails come through a different system. Two things to double check on your end – 1) your spam folder and 2) an email confirmation that you should receive that you need to click through on to confirm you want to receive notifications (it’s set up as a double opt in system right now). This is a new system as of a couple of months ago, and Paulette is right that you have to choose to receive notices of comments on EVERY post. That way you won’t receive notices on comments on posts that you haven’t opted in to, just the ones you choose. Paulette, let me know if a few days if it seems to be working again. Thanks!
