Coach Honey B

April 30, 2021 by Kelsi

There is no one in the world like Honey B. She has so many different layers to her personality. She certainly has her mother’s charm and athletic ability. Missy loves making her caregivers run around the whole sanctuary while she only has to move a few steps. Missy as we all know is lightning fast. These traits may be genetically ingrained into Honey B. Honey B is FAST and on top of being quick, she has a thing for making her caregivers run around the entire building. Her preference is that we run inside, outside, up, down, back, forth, and through a construction site! If Honey B was a trainer she would be tough, but you would see results. Between Honey B’s workout routine and Burrito’s hill sprints you can see why we caregivers are out of breath and exhausted by the end of the day!

Wow, Kelsi! So you guys pretty much eat whatever you want!
And this place defo doesn’t have any rules posted like “no running in the hallways”!
And then there’s Mave, just hangin’ out.
    Was the gorilla outside?

    I so like Honey B! She’s a keeper, for sure. 🙂

Okay now, it’s really not fair. Honey B has 4 legs, so to speak, and you have 2. She need take only 10 steps from to room to room, maybe 20?, using built-in doors and passageways and tunnels, while you have to run an obstacle course around and through the entire building — and not to be too motherly, but someone is going to get badly hurt tripping through that construction site while filming — but I really admire your dedication and perseverance!! And I had a chuckle at the last scene of Honey B. slowly ambling across the room as you huffed and puffed from exhaustion. Pretty funny, really. Love you all.

What I particularly always enjoy about the blog are the opportunities to get to know more about each of the chimps as individuals, with their own endearing little quirks…It ‘s such a pleasure every time you tell stories about what they’re up to on any given day, making my heart so happy…

Honey B’s most challenging move was fitting into her neon waistband! She really worked you over Kelsi. She’s so sneaky elusive, always just one step ahead of you meandering over to the other side of room. Hysterical. And I’ll add how impressed I am with your fast footwork as you run, holding a camera (!!!) dashing through that construction site. Wow!

It’s great checking my e-mails in the morning and getting Chimp news. Much more fun than the news I am listening to on the radio!

    How about a bodycam Kelsi?.
It keeps your hands free and you can focus on the obstacle course, your breath and the instructions of the coach.
I think it would please her….
