Burrito is the best kind of distraction. This video of Burrito doing a headstand and rolling in paper is a perfect example. He can certainly entertain himself, but it’s hard to get any work done around here! He is always getting someone to play with him, human or non-human. Just ask Chad!
The weather today was amazing. And it looks like it’s only going to get better. We have been trying to take advantage of this weather, so we did a lunch forage again!
Missy was very pleased when she found a head of lettuce!
Burrito had his hands full of tomatoes and lettuce.
This was such a sweet moment, Missy giving Jody reassurance.
Jamie with a beautiful troll scarf.
This is how I found Mave this morning :).
Now I shall leave you with one last photo of sweet Negra.
Awesome blog today. Really enjoyed the photos. Thank you for sharing and the Wonderful job you all do.
I love following their stories and watching what they do. It brings happiness to them and to me. Thank you??
Burrito and his happy feet! How absolutely delightful! I love you guys, and thanks for the smiles.
Mave, haha…just nlankets and orange peel everywhere….the remnants of the party! Glad she loves the toasty floors, I would, too!
Oh, those nervous toes, always a-tappin’!
The sunlight almost makes him look bald, er, sans pelage, though I know he’s not.
Delightful!??
Oh, you poor, exploited human caregivers! What endless drudgery you must endure, forever at the beck and call of someone like Burrito! As I recall from the caption to the blog that was posted on May 21, 2017, “One of the hardest things about this job is watching the chimps being so darned happy.” How are able to get any important work done? The mind boggles…
In truth, the photographs and the video of Burrito getting in some yoga are delightful to see. Thank you all so very much.
Toe-tapping-upside-down-happy-chappy Burrito. He’s priceless. Can you bottle that and sell it?!
Is Missy fitting that entire head of lettuce into her mouth all at once? And Mave! Looks as if the Californians had a rowdy night! That photo is hysterical. Thanks for all the different photos from todays happenings. (…and thanks for ending with Negra) ; )
It looks to me that Burrito is performing his version of “when you’re happy and you know it…….”
He always makes me smile.
And Jamie is showing her support with a rainbow scarf, while Mave is just exhausted from eating 3/4 orange…pfffff……she just hàs to lay down after that.
I love these daily blogs! I appreciate the time you spend sending them daily!! 🙂
Have you ever given the chimps large magnets to play with? I taught K-5 for years and I had several sets of large magnets that the children loved. They are big and sturdy. You can’t swallow them, they are extremely durable and they are fun. Watching Burrito just now, the thought occurred to me that he might enjoy them.
Can you give us an example? Find The magnets online And send a link maybe? I’d love to buy some for them…
The set I had was : SKU: RG033 – SmartMax Magnetic 42 Piece Building Set. The magnets are colorful and large, they cannot be swallowed, and the set runs about $60. If you are interested, I would be happy to pay half of that as a donation to the chimps. As I said, my students loved these building magnets.
Thanks! I found it online and I sent a link to Diana. I thought I would get her opinion before buying it.
Excellent.
Wonderful photos today!
When I saw the picture of Mave, I heard her thoughts: I’m full, I’m warm, I’m happy, I’m loved, I’m content, everything‘s good here. I’m safe. I’m SAFE.
I love the photos and the video. Burrito is such a joy, entertaining himself (and all those watching). Mave is too funny and they are all so sweet. So thankful they have such a wonderful home.
